Political theory has somewhat neglected the theory of government (much more has been written about democratic theory, populism, political systems). Constitutional theory has been largely incorporated into legal theory. There is much to be done now to redress these deficiences. The political meaning and interpretation of constitutions are in need of deeper exploration
