The heavier congeners (especially As, Sb and Bi) belong the lesser studied members of Group 15 elements. Although the bonding features can be remarkably different when descending the group, the effect of these parameters on the electronic structures and optical properties is yet to be understood. The present project aims a detailed understanding of the bonding with heavier pnictogens and the analysis of the trends among the group 15 elements. The project is part of an international collaboration.
