Description of the research topic:

The research will analyze the long run careers of workers and their dependence on the cohort and the timing of job changes. These are important as the these event take place at different points of the business cycle which may affect entry-level occupations and wages which have long run effect on the careers of workers. The global crisis which started in September 2008 provides a good laboratory for analyzing this question and may help mitigating the selection bias which arises as the bulk of job finders changes along the business cycle.
