Description of the research topic:

Documents written by doctors at clinical settings include a huge amount of useful information. However, the language used in these documents is quite different from the standard, thus traditional language processing tools cannot achieve satisfactory results applied to these texts. The goal of the research is to create a representation that is able to handle the information present in clinical documents and takes into account the unique characteristics of clinical language.
