A kutatási téma leírása:

a.) Antecedents:
Phase change materials provide an efficient means of storing heat with moderate temperature increase, reducing thus thermal losses.
b.) Aim of research:
We can expect remarkable improvement via new composite phase change materials, new methods to avoid their various undesirable behaviours, and efficient heat transfer via appropriately suitable heat exchanger geometries.
c.) Tasks, main items, necessary time:
Exploring the literature, identifying the current main problems and determine the research directions (0.5 year) Calculations and preliminary experiments (0.5 year) Detailed investigations in the most promising directions (0.5 year) Combining the various elements into a working equipment, testing its behaviour (0.5 year) Publication of the new scientific results (continuously) Attending relevant courses in English (continuously but within the first 1.5 years) Writing the PhD thesis (0.5 year)
d.) Required equipment:
Appropriate laboratory environments for studying the various physical, chemical etc. aspects involved – available at our department and other departments of the faculty. Computer. Access to the scientific database.
e.) Expected scientific results:
A scientifically thoroughly established and technically advantageous solution for heat storage of solar energy.
