Description of the research topic:

Cohomology and deformation theory of algebraic structures is in some sense simpler than of analytic structures, as it does not include analytic, topological aspects. On the other hand, there is a close relationship between the algebraic and analytic invariants. Not many explicit computations are known, although central extensions and deformations are important invariants of the given object.
