Description of the research topic:
The research focus on subregional scale territories that was subjected to detailed geological mapping activities and the records are available to process them into a geodatabase. Such data is used – completed with own field observations – to create models of the tectonic stresses based on existing methodology. These models together with a morphometric analysis of the area can be analyzed in ways to i) assess the present state of stability of the area, ii) predict future surface evolutional scenarios, iii) reconstruct the pathways which led to the present state of the surface.
