Description of the research topic:
This research topic includes the systematic study and analysis of the needs of language use and learning in various LSP/ESP educational settings and contexts, and the application of the findings for the pedagogical practices. The research may focus on the following areas: increasing students' awareness of language use demands in discipline-specific contexts (exploration and description of corpus based register features and text demands), and promoting their learning processes for socializing students into their future professional discourse community (curriculum and syllabus design, interactions between teachers, learners and materials, teacher development).
