Description of the research topic:
Today it is widely accepted that having learning difficulties should not automatically exclude someone from language learning. Although researchers have demonstrated a burgeoning interest in SN language learners in the last 10-15 years, we are still far from understanding all the learning needs and difficulties of this group. Further research is needed in all areas of individual variables, especially in language learning strategies and self efficacy beliefs.
