This research topic focuses on researching the education of foreign language learners to become intercultural speakers, i.e., to achieve good language proficiency AND intercultural competence; other areas of inquiry include investigating what type of cultural differences can lead to miscommunication in using foreign languages or what needs to be taught (and how) to help students become successful FL users.
