Description of the research topic:

Doctoral students admitted to the thematic unit History of ancient science and its philosophy shall pursue their studies, and engage in research about a well defined topic (1) of the history of some scientific discipline in antiquity, and its further development, (2) of the philosophical presuppositions of scientific cognition, and the relevant theories of ancient epistemology, metaphysics and natural philosophy, (3) of ancient logic, dialectics, epistemology and philosophy of science.
