Description of the research topic:

The topic is twofold. First, it’s related to the formation and emerging of Hungarian ethnic communities in the United States and elsewhere in the Americas, and later, France and Germany. Their history, culture, networks are under the scope of the research. Second the topic focuses on the Hungarian ethnic communities in the neighbouring countries (i. e. Tchecoslovakia, Romania, Yugoslavia) after the First World War. Their politics, cultural evolution and relations to the successor states are heavily underlined
