Description of the research topic:

The psychology of social media is a yet understudied field. In this initial phase most of the researchers are approaching it from the perspective of clinical and personality psychology. It would be important for social psychologist to start exploring this topic, as their focus (interpersonal, group and societal aspects) and methods (network analysis, experiments) can contribute to a deeper and more complex understanding of the phenomena.
