Description of the research topic:

The history of South Asian countries in the 19th and 20th centuries, the pillars of political and social historic development. The place of the region in international relations. The specific structure of relations of the South Asian countries with one another and countries outside the region; special int he context of border conflicts. Furthermore the special geopolitical situation South Asia occupies in Asian and world power politics.
