Description of the research topic:
Recently a growing number of supernovae (SNe) has been discovered whose maximum brightness exceed -21 magnitude. Neither the progenitor nor the mechanism of the explosion is known in these systems except that it cannot happen in a similar way as in "normal" SNe. The goal of this study is to derive constraints on the physical parameters and conditions of these explosions via examining light curves and spectra.
