A végrehajtó funkciók kifejezés általában azokra a magasabb kognitív funkciókra utal amelyek szerepet játszanak a feladattervezésben és –irányításban beleértve a feladatindítást, –végrehatást, –gátlást és monitorozást, valamint a fenntartott figyelmet, munkaemlékezetet, célvezérelt viselkedést. Az idegtudomány ma ismert adatai szerint a nyelvi feldolgozáshoz rendelt végrehajtó funkciók, hasonlóan más kognitív funkciókhoz (figyelem, percepció, mentális aritmetika), az agy frontális, parietális és kéregalatti területeinek ugyanazon hálózatához tartoznak. Ugyanakkor arra is számos adat utal, hogy a résztvevő agyi területek aktuális részvétele erősen függ a feladattól. Role of executive functions in domain-specific (bilingualism, reading) functions (Valéria Csépe)
The term ‘executive functions’ refers in general to high-level cognitive processes responsible for planning and directing activities, including task initiation and performance, sustained attention, monitoring, inhibition, working memory, and goal-directed behavior. According to the recent neuroscientific data the executive functions recruited in language processing may be similar to other cognitive functions (attention, perception, mental arithmetics, etc.) supported by the same network of frontal, parietal and subcortical brain areas. However, the actual load on the participating brain areas highly depends on the task. Our new studies aim at investigating the role of executive functions in bilingualism and reading.
