A 19. századi tankönyvfejlődés szempontjából az iskolában használatos könyvek sorában rendkívül nagy jelentőséggel bírnak az ábécés- és olvasókönyvek. A kutatási téma a számítógéppel támogatott tartalomelemzésre épül. Kultúrtörténeti, mikrohistóriai, könyvtörténeti megközelítésmódot igényel.
