Description of the research topic:

The main objective of this research is to develop new separation methods for the resolution and identification of chiral and non-chiral analytes possessing pharmaceutical, biological, chemical or environmental importance.
Through systematic investigations exploring the connection between retention behavior and molecular parameters will be possible.
Based on direct high-performance liquid chromatographic or capillary electrophoretic measurements the study of the application possibilities of chiral stationary phases and mobile phase additives will be carried out. On the basis of our results new and highly efficient chiral stationary phases might be designed.
As a basic research the obtained results will significantly contribute to the evolution of the field of chiral separation techniques.
