Kutató munkája mellett oktatási tevékenysége elismeréséül a BME rektorától 1992-ben „címzetes egyetemi docens” címet kapott. Habilitációs értekezése benyújtása és megvédése után a BME Vegyészmérnöki Kara Habilitációs bizottságának javaslatára 1995 -ben habilitált doktorrá avatták, ennek birtokában az egyetemen kifejtett oktató és kutató tevékenysége elismeréséül 1996-ban a BME-en egyetemi magántanári címet kapott a kémiai tudományban.
